Situated in Fairlight, this historic family estate had been renovated and extended over the years but lacked connection to the pool and garden. A steep driveway leading to the under-house garage contributed to water ingress, causing persistent dampness, and closer inspection revealed structural issues.
The new design incorporated comprehensive rectification measures for the lower structure, ensuring a dry, stable, and healthy internal environment. A new living area and master bedroom with en-suite were constructed, along with extensive interior renovations featuring a new laundry, updated bathrooms, bespoke joinery and new windows and doors. New exterior cladding and appropriate insulation were applied to optimise thermal regulation. The existing deck was extended, and wide stairs were added to create a seamless transition to the garden.
