Perched at the edge of an escarpment with breathtaking views of the bush-covered valley, ocean, and Pittwater, this solid double-brick home was functional but dated. Situated at the top of a hill without much natural shade or wind protection, the house faced extreme temperatures—icy in winter and sweltering in summer.
To modernise the home and maximise the views, a modern open-plan design was introduced. The extensive renovations included a new laundry, updated bathrooms and WC, an open-plan kitchen, and ample storage solutions throughout. To address temperature fluctuations, appropriate insulation was added, air leaks were sealed, and double-glazed windows and doors were installed. The swimming pool was upgraded and refinished, with the surrounding gardens levelled to create a more practical and inviting outdoor space.
