The owners were content with their home but found the enclosed kitchen and laundry nook disconnected from the dining room, with walls obstructing the views. To address this, we developed an open-plan layout that seamlessly connects indoor spaces to outdoor entertaining areas, showcasing the stunning Pittwater views at the front and the garden and pool at the back.
Internal walls separating the kitchen and dining room were removed, with roof loads supported by a concealed steel beam in the roof space. New bi-fold café windows were installed along the kitchen bench, complemented by an exterior breakfast bar for easy outdoor dining. A functional laundry nook was created with fold-back, bi-fold doors for convenient access. The floors and ceilings were refinished to blend seamlessly with the new, spacious kitchen joinery and ample storage solutions.
